I finally got stickers for my computer keyboard showing the Korean characters. Now I can type in Korean on my computer.

new iPod Touch
I finally got a 32 GB iPod Touch 4G today. The iPod Touch is my favorite toy cause it's pretty much a pocket sized computer. I just wish I had an iPhone cause the iPod's functionality is limited when there's no wifi connection.
I ordered it from Amazon in the US and had it sent to my parents house and had them send it to me because it's about $100 cheaper than buying it in Korea. Most electronics seem to be cheaper in the US.

1st Kumdo tournament
Last Sunday (Nov. 21) I participated in my first kumdo tournament. There were 5 kumdo schools in Paju participating.
I lost my first match in the individual competition, won my next match in the team competition, then lost my next 2 matches in the team competitions.
It was fun, but too long. I was picked up at 8:30am, went to the kumdo school for a while, got to the high school where the tournament was at around 9am. Tournament started at around 10am. My first match wasn't till the afternoon. I didn't get home till around 8pm. I don't like all day events like that.

Kumdo armor
Monday I got my kumdo armor. I don't have any photos of me wearing it yet. The pic below shows how it is stored.
I had them put my name on it in Korean characters. The top line of writing is the name/location of the school. The big character in the center is Jon. Below that is my last name "Ra i eon" (Ryan)
The blue armor stains the white dobok (uniform). I don't like it, but everyone's gets stained.

sports day
Last Friday (10/29) was sports day at my school. There were no classes, all the homeroom classes just competed with each other at various sports. There were a lot of things going on, I didn't photograph everything.
Running:
Korean wrestling:
This was some kind of race where people kneeled down and someone had to run on their backs:
Tug of war:
More running:
My co-teacher and I took pictures all day:
Random melee on the sidelines:
...still going during the closing ceremony:
Finished:
The rest of my photos from sports day are in this set on Flickr.
